Koko Crater Trail Hours
Koko Crater Trail is open 24×7 throughout the year.
That being said, most people hike during daylight hours for obvious reasons.
Hiking Koko Crater Trail is very difficult after dark, even with headlamps and torches.
Despite this, you’ll find many hikers on the Koko Crater Trail pre-dawn to catch the sunrise views from the summit, and hikers plodding their way down after viewing the sunset from the top.

Note that the Koko Head District Park parking lot official hours of operation are 4:00 am to 11:00 pm.
